Logistics and Warehouse Vision Solution
Warehouses and sorting hubs face rising demands for dimensional billing, throughput and operational compliance. Built on the RK3588 as the vision host, this solution combines camera, DMS or ToF data for parcel volume measurement and barcode recognition, plus loading-dock behavior analytics, feeding results directly into WMS. Hongyin Tech delivers from free requirements review to volume production. Submit requirements for selection advice within 48 hours.

Pain Points
- Manual parcel measuring introduces errors and inefficiency, distorting billing and load planning
- Barcode miss rates spike at peak sorting times, driving mis-ships, claims and complaints
- Loading-dock operations lack automated oversight, making violations hard to trace and costly to manage
- Vision data is disconnected from WMS, forcing manual re-entry of measurement results
- Imported vision measurement equipment is expensive with long customization cycles, out of reach for mid-size warehouses
Recommended Hardware Configuration
| SoC platform | RK3588 (4x A76 + 4x A55) as the multi-stream vision processing host |
|---|---|
| AI compute | 6TOPS NPU for volume measurement, barcode detection and behavior recognition inference |
| Camera input | Multi-channel MIPI CSI with GMSL expansion for area, structured-light and ToF camera combinations (per chipset datasheet) |
| Memory & storage | LPDDR4/4x + eMMC for multi-stream image caching and event video retention |
| Network & I/O | Gigabit Ethernet to WMS/MES, RS485/GPIO for sorter and audio-visual signaling |
| Thermal & enclosure | Fanless wide-temperature design for dusty warehouse environments |

FAQ
Q:What measurement accuracy can be achieved?
Accuracy depends on the camera combination (structured light, ToF or stereo) and mounting distance; standard static setups can meet billing-grade requirements. The actual figure must be evaluated against your parcel size range and site conditions. After the free requirements review, we arrange pilot testing and confirm accuracy with measured data.
Q:Can the RK3588 handle measurement and barcode recognition simultaneously?
Yes. With a 6TOPS NPU and multi-core CPU, measurement, barcode recognition and behavior analytics run in parallel across NPU, DSP and CPU in a pipeline. For very high peak throughput, we assess compute headroom during review and, if needed, propose a multi-unit layout, delivering resource planning within 48 hours.
Q:Our WMS is custom-built. Can you integrate with it?
Yes. The solution integrates with custom WMS through standard interfaces such as HTTP APIs or intermediate database tables, which is routine commissioning. Please share your interface documentation or field definitions; we confirm the integration plan and effort during requirements review and include it in the delivery plan.
Q:We already have loading-dock cameras. Do they need replacing?
It depends on the existing cameras' interfaces and image quality. Existing cameras can be connected via GMSL or network, with the RK3588 host acting as the vision core; in many cases only measurement cameras are added. The retrofit scope is evaluated during the free requirements review to avoid unnecessary spending.
