AI Edge Computing Box Solution
For edge AI workloads in security, industrial inspection and smart retail, HONGYIN TECH delivers an integrated AI edge box solution on two platforms: RK3588 (8K decoding, 6TOPS NPU) for video-heavy and compute-intensive jobs, and RK3576 as the cost-optimized tier. The solution covers multi-camera access, on-device inference, cloud alerting and remote O&M, delivered turnkey from requirement review and thermal/mechanical customization to prototype integration and volume production. Send us your requirements and get platform recommendations within 48 hours.

Pain Points
- Platform selection stalls between RK3588 and RK3576, stretching project evaluation cycles
- Assembling a box from a generic dev board means redesigning thermal, I/O and enclosure from scratch with unpredictable cost and schedule
- Running multi-channel video decode and NPU inference together causes obvious frame drops and uncertain performance headroom
- Devices are scattered across customer sites with no remote O&M channel, so every upgrade or diagnosis requires an on-site visit
- Hard to find a supplier willing to support small pilot batches, and volume-stage quality consistency becomes a risk
Recommended Hardware Configuration
| SoC platform | RK3588 (4x A76 + 4x A55, 8K decode, 6TOPS NPU) for video-heavy, compute-intensive workloads, or RK3576 (4x A72 + 4x A53, 6TOPS NPU) as the cost-optimized tier; see chipset datasheet for details |

FAQ
Q:How do I choose between RK3588 and RK3576?
It mainly depends on video channel count and model complexity. For multiple camera streams running detection models concurrently, RK3588 is the safer choice; for single or few streams focused on data acquisition and lightweight inference, RK3576 offers better cost efficiency. Send us your project requirements for a free review and platform recommendations within 48 hours.
Q:Can you customize the box to our enclosure and I/O requirements?
Yes. The turnkey solution supports I/O trimming and expansion, mounting options, enclosure structure and logo printing, as well as fast modification of proven existing enclosures. Customization items are confirmed item by item during the free requirement review, followed by a development schedule after effort assessment.
Q:Which models are supported? What if we already have trained models?
Deployment is based on the RKNN toolchain, supporting conversion and quantization of common detection, classification and recognition models. For customer-trained models, share the original model and accuracy requirements during the free requirement review and we will handle adaptation and validation, with direct engineer access for fast issue closure.
Q:How do you support pilot builds and volume production?
The solution supports low MOQ, so you can validate on site first and scale up later. During prototyping we provide integration support and test reports; at volume stage we coordinate capacity, control batch consistency and maintain continuous supply with after-sales response for long-term project stability.
